The Worst Part About Ramadan

Abu Hurairah narrated that :the Messenger of Allah said:
“On the first night of the month of Ramadan, the Shayatin are shackled, the jinns are restrained, the gates of the Fires are shut such that no gate among them would be opened. The gates of Paradise are opened such that no gate among them would be closed, and a caller calls: ‘O seeker of the good; come near!’ and ‘O seeker of evil; stop! For there are those whom Allah frees from the Fire.’ And that is every night.” Al-Tirmidhi.
The worst part about Ramadan is how we have altered this beautiful, it has changed from a month of worship to a month of sleep, filling our stomachs and staying up late with our friends not in the remembrance of Allah. The Prophet said:
“May his nose be rubbed in the dust, a man for whom Ramadan comes and then goes before he is forgiven.” Al-Tirmidhi.
The Worst Part About Ramadan
This month is a mercy to us from, Allah has granted us a month in which Shaytaan are locked up, the gates of Hell are closed and the gates of Paradise are open, inviting us to enter. We need to prioritise this month over everything else, as this is the month of the Quran and forgiveness. Narrated Abu Wail from Hudhaifa:
`Umar asked the people, “Who remembers the narration of the Prophet about the affliction?” Hudhaifa said, “I heard the Prophet saying, ‘The affliction of a person in his property, family and neighbors is expiated by his prayers, fasting, and giving in charity.” `Umar said, “I do not ask about that, but I ask about those afflictions which will spread like the waves of the sea.” Hudhaifa replied, “There is a closed gate in front of those afflictions.” `Umar asked, “Will that gate be opened or broken?” He replied, “It will be broken.” `Umar said, “Then the gate will not be closed again till the Day of Resurrection.” We said to Masruq, “Would you ask Hudhaifa whether `Umar knew what that gate symbolized?” He asked him and he replied “He (`Umar) knew it as one knows that there will be night before tomorrow, morning. Al-Bukhari.
This is the month in which Allah saves people from Hellfire, we need to know how to treat Ramadan with respect and acknowledgement it deserves. Make sure you make the most of this Ramadan and change for the better, don’t be a loser this month of Ramadan and earn the pleasure and forgiveness of Allah. May Allah make us from the winners of Ramadan.
