Not everyone’s excited about Qatar hosting the FIFA World Cup. Western media outlets have been relentless in their criticism of Qatar, targeting everything from migrant worker rights, LGBT rights and even Qatar’s ban on alcohol at sporting venues. Yet how much of this criticism is sincere – and how much is really just blatant racism. It’s time to slide tackle the hypocrisy.
