In our final episode of “Muslims Explored,” we connected locally with Maria, 16-year old teenager from South-West Sydney who is legally blind.
Despite being diagnosed with a rare condition – which will lead to eventual blindness – she continues to exceed expectations – beginning university at the age of 15 years, actively participating in the community and continuing her pursuit of sacred knowledge. She hasn’t let anything stop her!
More importantly, she sees the world through a different perspective, through a lens of trust, contentment and gratitude in her Lord, Allah.
