Did you know that there is no better time to seek repentance from Allah than during the blessed month of Ramadan?
In this video, we delve into the significance of repentance during Ramadan and explore the boundless mercy of Allah.
Repentance (Tawbah) is one of the key concepts in Islam. The prophet Muhammed ﷺ would urge his followers and companions to repent for Allah is the most forgiving. Repentance is about seeking forgiveness for all our shortcomings big and small.
Why You Should Repent
Ramadan is the month of repentance, it is integral part of the believer to repent to Allah and seek his forgiveness. One of Allah’s names is al-Rahman (the most merciful), our beloved prophet Muhammed ﷺ was sinless and would still repent over 100 times a day. This teaches us that we should always be seeking forgiveness no matter how righteous you may be. Take the chance to repent to Allah now before its too late. If the deceased in the grave were able to communicate with us, they would beg to return and repent to Allah even if it was for a few minutes. Turn back to Allah and repent to him, no sin is too big or too small.
The Conditions of Repentance
True repentance involves three essential conditions.
Step 1
The first step is to cease or exit the sinful behaviour or act. With pure intentions one must make a sincere commitment to change for the sake of Allah.
Step 2
The second step involves having remorse and regret for actions that were taken and committing to a change.
Step 3
Thirdly it is have a firm resolve on abstaining from repeating the sin and having the willpower and the discipline to do so.
O believers! Turn to Allah in sincere repentance, so your Lord may absolve you of your sins and admit you into Gardens, under which rivers flow, on the Day Allah will not disgrace the Prophet or the believers with him.
This Ramadan make sure to repent to Allah who is Ar-Rahman, the most merciful.
