Never be ashamed to be Muslim<\/span><\/h1>\nThis is a newly released powerful spoken word piece titled \u201cAshamed to be Muslim\u201d, from the <\/span>Talk Islam<\/span><\/a> team at OnePath Network.<\/span>\n\nThe video is a response to Muslims who go about their daily lives in the constant fear of people finding out their true faith and those that are always embarrassed by their religion, finding it difficult to be true to their religious views and principles.<\/span>\n\nThe piece aims to not only inspire Muslims to once more be proud of their faith and embracing the fact that they are different, but it also aims to bring hope and light to those that are struggling to hold onto their faith in such difficult times.<\/span>\n\nThe lyrics are as follows:<\/span>\n<\/span>\n\n\u201cHi, I\u2019m a Muslim and I\u2019m ashamed of my religion<\/span><\/i>\n\nI try to hide my faith and I\u2019m embarrassed by my tradition<\/span><\/i>\n\nI try to blend in so I don\u2019t cause any suspicion\u201d<\/span><\/i>\n\nIf this sounds familiar, you might want to give this a listen.<\/span><\/i>\n\nDear Muslims, of the internet<\/span><\/i>\n\nIf I could kindly request that we stop trying to be cool and relevant<\/span><\/i>\n\nand start trying to be people of actual benefit<\/span><\/i>\n\nIf we could stop trying to fit in, and start trying to stand out.<\/span><\/i>\n\nI mean we were never meant to blend in<\/span><\/i>\n\nAnd I assure you, we were never meant to just go along with the crowd.<\/span><\/i>\n\nYou see being different, is exactly what being Muslim is about.<\/span><\/i>\n
As the Prophet <\/span><\/i>\ufdfa <\/span><\/i>said<\/span><\/i>\n\n\u0641\u064e\u0637\u064f\u0648\u0628\u064e\u0649 \u0644\u0650\u0644\u0652\u063a\u064f\u0631\u064e\u0628\u064e\u0627\u0621\u0650<\/span><\/i>\n\n\u201cGlad tidings to those who are strange\u201d.<\/span><\/i><\/blockquote>\nBut unfortunately, today when it comes to our faith, most of us are ashamed<\/span><\/i>\n\nWe try to hide our identity and even change our names<\/span><\/i>\n\nWhich is funny, because those on falsehood aren’t hiding at all, they’re in full public display<\/span><\/i>\n\nWalking proudly down the street, even waving flags in parades<\/span><\/i>\n\nAnd I’m not taking any shots, nor am I here to complain<\/span><\/i>\n\nAll I’m saying is it’s about time things start to change<\/span><\/i>\n\nWe should be proud to be different, and embrace the fact we’re not the same.<\/span><\/i>\n\nYou see, for instance, we should never be embarrassed to say:<\/span><\/i>\n\n\u201cHey, I’m a Muslim and I follow the religion of Islam,<\/span><\/i>\n\nI don’t smoke, don’t drink, and I don’t go to clubs and dance<\/span><\/i>\n\nAnd I actually believe that marriage should only ever be between a woman and a man<\/span><\/i>\n\nAnd I’m sorry sister but I can’t really shake your hand<\/span><\/i>\n\nI hope it doesn’t offend you, I sure hope you understand<\/span><\/i>\n\nCoz I’m just being me, in all honesty, this is just who I really am\u201d<\/span><\/i>\n\nAnd I don’t plan on ever giving this up<\/span><\/i>\n
See, I’m a Muslim, and Allah has told us:<\/span><\/i>\n

\u0643\u064f\u0646\u062a\u064f\u0645\u0652 \u062e\u064e\u064a\u0652\u0631\u064e \u0623\u064f\u0645\u064e\u0651\u0629\u064d \u0623\u064f\u062e\u0652\u0631\u0650\u062c\u064e\u062a\u0652 \u0644\u0650\u0644\u0646\u064e\u0651\u0627\u0633\u0650<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n \n\nWe’re the best of nations, brought forth for the people<\/span><\/i><\/blockquote>\nWe enjoin the good and we forbid the evil<\/span><\/i>\n\nand we believe in Allah, without any partners nor any equals.<\/span><\/i>\n\nSo why should I be ashamed?<\/span><\/i>\n\nWe’re the kind of people who are kind to people, and we treat others like we like to be treated<\/span><\/i>\n\nI mean, we have Allah, as the supporter, the friend and the protector of the believers<\/span><\/i>\n\nAnd we have Muhammad\ufdfa, the\u00a0best of all leaders.<\/span><\/i>\n\nSo I honestly don’t understand why we should ever feel defeated<\/span><\/i>\n\nI mean, why do we always feel the need to leave our faith neglected<\/span><\/i>\n\nLike we need to give up our ways in order to be accepted.<\/span><\/i>\n\nOr that we need to go rearrange and reform our faith, so we can somehow have it corrected<\/span><\/i>\n\nFailing to realise, we can never improve something that Allah has already perfected.<\/span><\/i>\n\nAnd look I get it, some of us do feel disconnected, and it does get hard.<\/span><\/i>\n\nWe might slip and fall and at times we might feel far<\/span><\/i>\n\nAnd this is normal for sure, I mean it’s why we were taught to make the Du’aa<\/span><\/i>\n
