    Instill Love of Allah and the Prophet <\/a><\/span>\ufdfa <\/span>in their hearts<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Share beautiful stories from the Quran<\/a> with them.<\/span><\/p>\n

    D<\/span>edicate a time daily for teaching them about the life of the Prophet<\/a> \ufdfa<\/span><\/p>\n

    Take the time to explain the meaning of some verses to them<\/span><\/p>\n

    \u275e\u275d[This is] a blessed Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muhammad], that they might reflect upon its verses and that those of understanding would be reminded.\u201d\u275e\u275d <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

      Show them affection<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      One of the biggest misconceptions about raising boys is teaching them to ignore their feelings and always using tough love with them. <\/span><\/p>\n

      Just like girls, boys have emotions too and we should not make them ashamed of them. <\/span><\/p>\n

      The young brother of Anas bin Malik used to play with a small bird. The Prophet \ufdfawould approach the little kid and ask: \u275e\u275d\u201cO Abu Umair! What has your little bird done today?\u201d\u275e\u275d<\/span><\/p>\n

      One day the little bird died. The boy was sad, so the Prophet of Mercy went to visit him, console him and cheer him up.<\/span><\/p>\n

      1. \n

        Be fair and honest<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Fairness is important to boys. They respond best to discipline that is firm, honest and fair.<\/span><\/p>\n

        The mother of Abdullah Ibn \u2018Amr once called him to come near to her, promising that she will give him something in return.<\/span><\/p>\n

        \n

        The Prophet \ufdfa commented by saying \u275dIf you did not give him anything (upon calling him) it would be recorded on you as a lie.\u275e<\/span><\/p>\n

          Get dads involved<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Boys need male role models. They need a father who leads by example and gently but firmly encourages them. <\/span><\/p>\n

          `Umar was walking with his son `Abdullah, he informed his father that he knew the answer to the question the Prophet put forward to them. <\/span><\/p>\n

          Upon hearing his son\u2019s answer Umar said to him: \u275dIf you had said it, it would have been sweeter to me than anything in this world\u275e.<\/span><\/p>\n

            Accept their childishness<\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Many parents dislike the messiness that comes along with raising boys. It is important to accept that and not be a disciplining parent all the time. <\/span><\/p>\n

            \n

            \u275dWhen al-Hassan & al-Hussain were little, they would jump on the prophets back while he was praying, and when he rose from prostration he would gently place them on the floor.\u275e<\/span><\/p>\n

              Give them responsibilities around the house <\/span><\/h3>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Following directions and finishing tasks are very important skills to learn. Assign your son a regular task daily.<\/span><\/p>\n

              \u275dThe Prophet \ufdfa used to keep himself busy serving his family and when it was the time for prayer he would go for it.\u275e<\/span><\/p>\n
