Whether you\u2019re a parent with sick children or a struggling patient, here are four Islamic teachings during sickness.<\/p>\n<h2>1. Never let go of Night <i>Thikr<\/i><\/h2>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Prophet <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\ufdfa <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">said, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWhen you go to your bed, say:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;<strong>Allahu Akbar<\/strong> (Allah is Greater) 34 times, \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;<strong>Alhamdu Lillah<\/strong> (All the praises are for Allah), 33 times and <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Subhan Allah<\/strong> (Glorified be Allah) for 33 times. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><i>(Sahih Bukhari)<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2><b>2. Show <a href=\"https:\/\/onepathnetwork.com\/au\/the-amazing-rewards-of-patience-and-gratitude\/\">gratitude<\/a> to Allah at all times<\/b><\/h2>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Messenger of Allah \ufdfa said, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cHow amazing is the case of the believer; there is good for him in everything, and this is only so for the believer. If he experiences something pleasant, he is thankful, and that is good for him; and if he comes across adversity, he is patient, and that is good for him.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong><i>Muslim<\/i><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h2><b>3. Ditch the negativity and look at the bright side<\/b><\/h2>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cIt&#8217;s human <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.psychologytoday.com\/basics\/environment\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">nature<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> to dwell on the negative and overlook the positive.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.psychologytoday.com\/blog\/women-s-mental-health-matters\/201509\/7-ways-deal-negative-thoughts\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(Psychology Today; Patricia Harteneck, PhD)<\/span><\/i><\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Obsessing over negative thoughts makes you more upset and hinders your ability to overcome hardship. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>4. Remember that sickness cleanses you from sin<\/b><\/h2>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Whenever the Prophet \ufdfa visited a sick person, he would say:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u0644\u0627 \u0628\u0623\u0633\u060c \u0637\u0647\u0648\u0631 \u0625\u0646 \u0634\u0627\u0621 \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647\u200f<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>No harm, (it will be a) purification (from sins), if Allah wills<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sunnah.com\/riyadussalihin:907\"><strong><i>Sahih Bukhari<\/i><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">May Allah keep us all in good health. <\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Four things to remember in times of sickness Whatever sickness you find yourself struggling with, we can all do with a few tips to help us feel better.
