How well do you know Aisha Bint Abu Bakr?<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

She was known as As-Siddiqah (The Truthful Woman), she was the daughter of Abu Bakr<\/a> As-Siddiq (The Truthful Man) who was the closest companion of The Holy Prophet \ufdfa.<\/span><\/p>\n

She was extremely intelligent, and is considered one of the best scholars of our ummah. <\/span><\/p>\n

Her narrations about the Prophet \ufdfa, which number in the thousands, gave us perspective about his personal life behind closed doors, such as his Qiyam, his sleeping, his romance and his intimacy.<\/span><\/p>\n

The love of the Prophet \ufdfa for her was clear.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is narrated that he \ufdfa said that she is the most beloved to him, and that her superiority to other women is like the superiority of \u201cThareed\u201d (i.e. a signature meat and bread dish) to all other meals. <\/span><\/p>\n

When the Prophet \ufdfa would have a meal with Aisha, they would both eat from the same plate and drink from the same cup as each other. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Prophet \ufdfa used to turn the cup where Aisha\u2019s lip marks were, and would drink from that side of the cup. <\/span><\/p>\n

Once the Prophet \ufdfa was sitting in a room with Aisha fixing his shoes.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was very warm, and Aisha Bint Abu Bakr looked to his blessed forehead and noticed that there were beads of sweat on it. She became overwhelmed by the majesty of that sight. She was staring at him long enough for him to notice.<\/span><\/p>\n

He said, “What’s the matter?”<\/span><\/p>\n

She replied, “If Abu Bukair Al Huthali, the poet, saw you, he would know that his poem was written for you.”<\/span><\/p>\n

The Prophet \ufdfa asked, “What did he say?”<\/span><\/p>\n

She replied, “Abu Bukair said that if you looked to the majesty of the moon, it twinkles and lights up the world for everybody to see.”<\/span><\/p>\n

So the Prophet \ufdfa got up, walked to Aisha, kissed her between the eyes, and said, “Wallahi O\u2019 Aisha, you are like that to me and more.”<\/span><\/p>\n

Aisha r.a.a had the knowledge of Fiqh, Hadith and she even excelled in the fields of poetry and medicine. <\/span><\/p>\n

Whenever the companions couldn\u2019t figure out an issue of Fiqh, they would go to Aisha and she always seemed to resolve the matter.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aisha\u2019s status was so high in the eyes of Allah, that when the case of slander happened against her (Haidthat Al-Ifk), Allah revealed 10 ayat in Surah Al-Noor to prove her innocence.<\/span><\/p>\n

Before he passed away The Prophet \ufdfa asked to use Siwak (<\/span>natural toothbrush)<\/span>. Aisha Bint Abu Bakr softened the siwak with her mouth before giving it to the Prophet \ufdfa so her saliva mixed with that of the Prophet \ufdfa in his last moments. <\/span><\/p>\n

The Prophet \ufdfa died in Aisha\u2019s lap with his head on her chest. He was buried in her room and later so was Abu bakr (her father) and then Umar Ibn Al-Khattab. <\/span><\/p>\n

What a great role model she was!<\/span><\/p>\n

May Allah guide us all to follow her footsteps!<\/span><\/p>\n
