\n\n<\/div>\n \n\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]It’s incredible to think that any human being can be told, within their lifetime, that they are definitely going to be one of the inhabitants of Jannah (paradise). As amazing as that sounds, this is exactly the case for 10 of the righteous companions of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH.<\/span>\n\nIn the real world, any of us hearing this news about ourselves, that we have been promised Jannah, might make us relax and take our foot off the gas pedal. Knowing that Allah SWT is so pleased with us that we have nothing to fear of punishment in the hereafter, might make us take it easy, and put up our feet.<\/span>\n\nHowever, the opposite was true for these 10 incredible men. Knowing that they have been promised Jannah, only served to increase them in their good deeds, their gratitude to Allah, and His worship. If anything, it increased their zeal in wanting to please their creator, Allah SWT.<\/span>\n\nAs we watch this video and read the hadith below, we should think about our own commitment to the pleasure of Allah SWT, especially since we have been given no guarantees of our final and eternal resting place.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]
\n\nThe Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: \u201cAbu Bakr will be in Paradise, \u2018Umar will be in Paradise, \u2018Uthmaan will be in Paradise, \u2018Ali will be in Paradise, Talhah will be in Paradise, Al-Zubayr will be in Paradise, \u2018Abd al-Rahmaan ibn \u2018Awf will be in Paradise, Sa\u2019d will be in Paradise, Sa\u2019eed will be in Paradise, and Abu \u2018Ubaydah ibn al-Jarraah will be in Paradise.\u201d\n(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 3680).\n\n<\/blockquote>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]Sa\u2019d is Sa\u2019d ibn Abi Waqqaas, and Sa\u2019eed is Sa\u2019eed ibn Zayd.\n\nThere are also a number of other Sahaabah who were given the glad tidings of Paradise, such as Khadeejah bint Khuwaylid, \u2018Abd-Allaah ibn Salaam, \u2018Ukaashah ibn Muhsan and others, but the ten mentioned above are called the ten who were given the glad tidings of Paradise because their glad tidings came in one hadith.
