I Will Not Be Your Valentine<\/h1>\n

For young men and women, movies, songs and television shows create an image of love that is unrealistic at times and we fall into that trap. <\/span><\/p>\n

You go on dates, lie to your parents, lie to yourself, you commit so many sins just to please the one you \u201clove\u201d, while displeasing your TRUE LOVE, Allah, for a couple of hours or a day of happiness. <\/span><\/p>\n

During Valentines Day we see a need to follow what the the majority of society are doing, whether it be looking for a haram relationship or only spoiling our spouse that one time a year. <\/span><\/p>\n

We shouldn\u2019t fall into those traps, Allah (SWT) has provided us with guidelines and rules to follow in order to make our lives easier, and to create true love as Allah is Al-Wadud (The Most Loving). <\/span><\/p>\n

Allah says, \u201c… Wed them with the permission of their own folk and give them their Mahr (dowry) according to what is reasonable; they should be chaste, not adulterous, nor taking boyfriends\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

The Prophet encouraged Muslims to treat our spouses with kindness, we should treat them with the best of manners, not for just one day but everyday. <\/span><\/p>\n\n

It was narrated by Abu Hurairah () that the Messenger of Allah (SWT) said, \u201cThe most perfect of believers in faith is the one who us best in attitude, and the best of you is the one who is best in attitude towards his womenfolk.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n

(Al-Tirmidhi). <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Surprising your spouse with small gifts daily with the intention of pleasing your spouse can be seen as an act of ibaadah, good deeds like these are pleasurable to Allah and to your spouse. <\/span><\/p>\n\n

Abu Hurairah narrates that The Prophet\u00a0\ufdfa\u00a0 said, \u201cTake on only as much as you can and do good deeds, for the best deeds is that which is done consistently, even if it is little.\u201d <\/span><\/i><\/p>\n
