Eid Al Adha Mubarak<\/strong><\/em><\/h1>\nMillions of Muslims across the globe are celebrating Eid al-Adha, one of Islam\u2019s most anticipated celebrations. It is known as the Feast of Sacrifice and is one of the two major religious festivals of Islam. The other, Eid al-Fitr, occurs at the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting.<\/span>\n\nEid al Adha commemorates the Quranic story that describes Prophet Ibrahim\u2019s devotion to God and his willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail as an act of obedience to Allah. Before he could carry out the sacrifice, Allah provided a ram as an offering instead.<\/span>\n\nMuslims celebrate Eid al Adha, Arabic for \u201csacrifice,\u201d by slaughtering livestock and distributing the meat to the poor, as a symbol of Abraham\u2019s willingness to sacrifice his only son. Observers are also required to make charitable donations.<\/span>\n\nEid al Adha marks the climax of Hajj, the sacred journey to Mecca undertaken by more than two million Muslims each year. It is one of the five pillars of Islam, and should be completed by every able bodied and financially capable Muslim.<\/span>\n\nEid al Adha and Eid al Fitr are times of celebration and happiness, it is not just another normal day. We should put on our best clothes, go to the mosque, pray and thank Allah for his endless bounties and celebrate!
