We are surrounded by people who are busy in their acts of worship; either rushing off to the Masjid for Taraweeh (extra prayers), waking up for suhoor before starting their fast, doing lots of Sunnah prayers, reading Quran, and so on. \u00a0<\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In fact, most women will spend some time during Ramadan in a state of Menses or post-natal bleeding. The most important thing to remember is that our Menses and post-natal bleeding are part of Allah\u2019s creation. Allah said in the Quran: <\/span>\n<blockquote><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe have certainly created man in the best of stature.\u201d<\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/quran.com\/95\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Surah at-Teen, Verse 4<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/a><\/blockquote>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Also, \u2018Aisha said: \u00a0<\/span>\n<blockquote><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We proceeded with the Messenger of Allah \ufdfa with no other intention but that of performing the Hajj. As I was at Sarif or near it, I entered in the state of menses. The Apostle of Allah \ufdfa came to me and I was weeping, whereupon he said, \u201cAre you in a state of menses?\u201d I said, \u201cYes.\u201d Whereupon he said, \u201cThis is what Allah has ordained for all the daughters of Adam\u2026\u201d<\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sunnah.com\/muslim\/15\/127\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Muslim<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/blockquote>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">So how do we keep our spirits high and positive during this time? Follow these 7 steps to make this Ramadan your best so far.<\/span>\n<h2><b>Step 1:\u00a0<\/b><b>Make Your Intention<\/b><\/h2>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For every single act, you do during the month of Ramadan (and after it) make the intention of doing it for the sake of Allah. In every way that you help your family: making Suhoor, preparing Iftar, cleaning their clothes, helping with homework &#8211; everything you do in your day, make the intention that it\u2019s for the sake of Allah.<\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Narrated &#8216;Umar bin Al-Khattab: I heard Allah&#8217;s Messenger (\ufdfa) saying, <\/span>\n<blockquote><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended&#8230;&#8221; <\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sunnah.com\/bukhari\/1\/1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bukhari<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/blockquote>\n<h2><b>Step 2:\u00a0<\/b><b>Make Constant Dhikr and Istighfar.<\/b><\/h2>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For example:<\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*Narrated Abu Hurayrah: Allah\u2019s Apostle <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(\ufdfa)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> said, <\/span>\n<blockquote><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWhoever says, \u2018Glory is to Allah and all Praise is to Him,\u2019 one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea.\u201d<\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sunnah.com\/bukhari\/80\/100\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bukhari<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u0633\u064f\u0628\u0652\u062d\u064e\u0627\u0646\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0647\u0650 \u0648\u064e\u0628\u0650\u062d\u064e\u0645\u0652\u062f\u0650\u0647\u0650<\/span><\/p>\n<i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SubhaanAllaahi wa bihamdih<\/span><\/i>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Glory is to Allah and all Praise is to Him&#8221;<\/span><\/blockquote>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*Abu Hurayrah said: \u201cThe Messenger of Allah (\ufdfa) said to me: <\/span>\n<blockquote><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cBe frequent in saying: \u2018There is no might nor power except by Allah\u2019. His is the dominion and His is the praise, and He is able to do all things&#8221;<\/span><\/blockquote>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*Abu Hurayrah said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (\ufdfa) saying, <\/span>\n<blockquote><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;I swear by Allah that I seek Allah&#8217;s Pardon and turn to Him in repentance more than seventy times a day.&#8221; <\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sunnah.com\/riyadussaliheen\/20\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bukhari<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/blockquote>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Prophet (\ufdfa) said,<\/span>\n<blockquote><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> &#8220;The best supplication for seeking forgiveness is to say Syed-ul- Istighfar. You are my Lord! None has the right to be worshipped but You. You created me and I am Your slave, and I am faithful to my covenant and my promise as much as I can. I seek refuge with You from all the evil I have done. I acknowledge before You all the blessings You have bestowed upon me, and I confess to You all my sins. So I entreat You to forgive my sins, for nobody can forgive sins except You.\u201d<\/span><\/blockquote>\n&nbsp;\n<h2><b>Step 3:\u00a0<\/b><b>Make Du\u2019a at all the Special Times Throughout the Day<\/b><\/h2>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Following are just some examples, but you will find there are many more you can recite.<\/span>\n\n<strong>*Immediately before sleeping or after waking make the prescribed Du\u2019a:<\/strong>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hudhaifah and Abu Dharr reported: Whenever the Messenger of Allah (\ufdfa) went to bed, he would supplicate: <\/span>\n<blockquote><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Bismika-Allahumma amutu wa ahya (With Your Name, O Allah, I die and return to life)&#8221;; and when he woke up, he would supplicate thus: &#8220;Al-hamdu lillahilladhi ahyana ba&#8217;da ma amatana, wa ilaihin-nushur (All praise belongs to Allah Who has restored us back to life after causing us to die; and to Him shall we return).&#8221; <\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sunnah.com\/riyadussaliheen\/16\/39\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bukhari<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/blockquote>\n<strong>*After Fajr and before Maghrib:<\/strong>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;Uthman bin &#8216;Affan reported: The Messenger of Allah (\ufdfa) said, <\/span>\n<blockquote><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;He who recites three times every morning and evening: &#8216;Bismillahil-ladhi la yadurru ma&#8217;as-mihi shai&#8217;un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama&#8217;i, wa Huwas-Sami&#8217;ul-&#8216;Alim (In the Name of Allah with Whose Name there is protection against every kind of harm in the earth or in the heaven, and He is the All-Hearing and All- Knowing),&#8217; nothing will harm him.&#8221;<\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sunnah.com\/riyadussaliheen\/16\/50\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Abu Dawud and At- Tirmidhi<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/blockquote>\n<strong>*When you Hear a Rooster:\u00a0Abu Hurairah narrated that: The Prophet (\ufdfa) said:<\/strong>\n<blockquote><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cWhen you hear the crowing of the roosters, then ask Allah of His bounty, for verily they have seen an angel. When you hear the braying of a donkey, then seek refuge in Allah from Shaytan, [the rejected] for, verily, it has seen a shaytan.\u201d <\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sunnah.com\/tirmidhi\/48\/90\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tirmidhi<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/blockquote>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>*Recite the parts of Quran that are also classed as Du\u2019a.<\/strong> <\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8216;Abdullah bin Khubaib reported: The Messenger of Allah (\ufdfa) said to me, <\/span>\n<blockquote><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Recite Surat Al-Ikhlas and Al- Mu&#8217;awwidhatain (Surat Al-Falaq and Surat An-Nas) three times at dawn and dusk. It will suffice you in all respects.&#8221;<\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sunnah.com\/riyadussaliheen\/16\/49\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Abu Dawud and Tirmidhi<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/blockquote>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Narrated Abu Hurayrah: The Messenger of Allah (\ufdfa) said: <\/span>\n<blockquote><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;&#8230;When you go to your bed, recite Ayat-al-Kursi, (2.255) for then there will be a guard from Allah who will protect you all night long, and Satan will not be able to come near you till dawn.&#8221;<\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sunnah.com\/bukhari\/66\/32\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bukhari<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/blockquote>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Narrated Abu Mas&#8217;ud Al-Ansari: The Messenger of Allah (\ufdfa) said: <\/span>\n<blockquote><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8220;Whoever recites the last two Ayat of Surat Al-Baqarah during the night, they shall suffice him.&#8221; <\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sunnah.com\/urn\/631170\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tirmidhi<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/blockquote>\n<h2><b>Step 4:\u00a0<\/b><b>Listen to Islamic Lectures or Read Islamic Books<\/b><\/h2>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are so amazing lectures available online which motivate and increase your love of Allah. Listen to them while you\u2019re cleaning, driving, or just about any time throughout the day. \u00a0Treat yourself to a special Islamic book and put aside time to read it. This is worship, too. Enjoy it and know that you\u2019re being rewarded for it.<\/span>\n<h2><b>Step 5:\u00a0<\/b><b>Wake up for Qiyyam (Night Prayers)<\/b><\/h2>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Even if you are menstruating or have post-natal bleeding, it\u2019s still a great opportunity to seek closeness to Allah. Wake up an hour before you need to make Suhoor. Do any of the above, or just spend time making specific du\u2019a. <\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Messenger of Allah (\ufdfa) as saying:<\/span>\n<blockquote><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u201cOur Lord who is blessed and exalted descends every night to the lowest heaven when the last one-third of the night remains, and says: Who supplicated Me so that I may answer him? Who asks of Me so that I may give to him? Who asks My forgiveness so that I may forgive him?\u201d<\/span>\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/sunnah.com\/abudawud\/5\/66\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Abu Dawud<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">)<\/span><\/blockquote>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">And don\u2019t forget the most powerful du\u2019a to make during the last 10 nights of Ramadan: &#8216;Aishah reported: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I ask<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ed: &#8220;O Messenger of Allah! If I realize Lailat-ul-Qadr (Night of Decree), what should I supplicate in it?&#8221; He (\ufdfa) replied, &#8220;You should supplicate: Allahumma innaka &#8216;afuwwun, tuhibbul-&#8216;afwa, fa&#8217;fu &#8216;anni (O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me).&#8221;<\/span>\n\n&nbsp;\n\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In sha Allah, if you implement all of these steps during Ramadan, not only when you have your Menses, but all the time,they will become a habit which you will continue into the future. \u00a0May Allah bless you during this Ramadan and make it your best one yet!<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>5 Steps to Staying Positive During Menses in Ramadan Feeling down during Menses or post-natal bleeding in Ramadan is a common struggle many Muslim women face.
