Struggling to read the Quran<\/span><\/h1>\n
The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. <\/span>\n\n(<\/span>Quran 2:185<\/span><\/a>)<\/span><\/blockquote>\nRamadan is not only a month of fasting it is only the month that Allah sent down the Quran. Therefore reciting the Quran should be a priority during this month.<\/span>\n\nIt is in our nature as Muslims to like to hear a beautiful recitation of the Quran, however many of us don\u2019t have a nice voice or struggle reading Quran. \u00a0<\/span>\n\nIf you\u2019re from a non-Arab background, never learned Arabic or even if you\u2019re a new Muslim who is reading the Quran for the first time. There is no denying that you will struggle. You will stutter and you will stumble when trying to make words out.<\/span>\n\nBy no means, however, is this a reason for you to feel disadvantaged, defeated or depressed. And by no means is this a reason for others to look down at you or ridicule you. In fact, it\u2019s a reason for them to envy you – for the reward you get for reading the Quran is double the reward others will receive.<\/span>\n\nAs the Prophet \ufdfa said:<\/span>\n
Verily the one who recites the Qur\u2019an beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have twice that reward.\u201d <\/span>\n\n(Sahih<\/span><\/a>)<\/span><\/blockquote>\nThe Messenger of Allah (\ufdfa) also said,<\/span>\n
“Whoever recites a letter from the Book of Allah, he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a ten-fold reward. I do not say that Alif-Lam-Mim is one letter, but Alif is a letter, Lam is a letter and Mim is a letter.”<\/span>\n\n (<\/span>At- Tirmidhi<\/b><\/a>) <\/span><\/blockquote>\n \n\nSo don\u2019t give up on your Quran reading struggles and keep trying to #ReviveRamadan.<\/span>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
