We have all experienced the ups and downs on our journey of faith. Women tend to have a time in the month where they are exempt from certain obligatory acts of worship, making them more vulnerable to losing enthusiasm towards worship. The culprit is “Dear Old Period”.
So here is a list of tips that you can try next time your cycle comes knocking
“Make sure the remembrance of Allah is constantly on your tongue and in your heart.
Tasabeeh are easy on the tongue and heavy on Allah’s scales in the hereafter.”
Whether at work, doing errands, waiting in the line at the shops, the remembrance of Allah can be your companion.
We are lucky to be living in times where knowledge is at the tip of our fingers.
Make time in your day for listening to islamic lectures that will increase your Iman, as well as improve your knowledge.
Alternating between different means of worship breaks routine and adds an entertainment to your day.
Read an islamic book
Reading can be so much fun!
It is a habit that we should include in our daily life.
Shaytaan might make it seem hard for you at first ,
But once you start, you’ll realise what you have been missing out on.
Reading also affects our kids; children who see adults reading, and enjoying it, are much more likely to want to read themselves.
Make sure that your intention is sincere
Allah might write all the acts of worship you are missing out on
The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “If a person gets sick or travels, the reward for what he used to do when he was at home and healthy will be recorded for him.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari (2834).
If your intention is to be closer to Allah and you really want to stay on a high level of faith then insh’Allah, God will give you the strength and ability to do so.
The Prophet (PBUH) said, “Allah the Most High said, ‘I am as My servant thinks (expects) I am. I am with him when he mentions Me. If he mentions Me to himself, I mention him to Myself; and if he mentions Me in an assembly, I mention him in an assembly greater than it. If he draws near to Me a hand’s length, I draw near to him an arm’s length. And if he comes to Me walking, I go to him at speed.’”[Sahih Al-Bukhari]
